She loved the United States and worked diligently to become a naturalized citizen. Together they lived in Virginia, Yokohama, Chula Vista and San Diego before settling down in Bonita. Kay loved her home of 46 years, wonderful neighbors and community.
Kay was a proud business owner of a hair salon for twenty years until she retired. In retirement she pursued her hobbies and passions in art, music, gardening, golf, bridge, fitness, health and travel. Music played a significant part of her life obtaining an advanced degree in the Japanese koto instrument. She also played the shamisen, piano and ukulele.
Everywhere Kay went she made wonderful and lifelong friends. She was known as a woman of grace, kindness, integrity and love. She was a person a friend could always count on for anything that was needed. She was always thoughtful and generous when it came to her friends and family.
Kay loved and was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife of 46 years to Johnny. She was always supportive and encouraged her children to pursue their dreams. She adored her three grandchildren and loved spending with them.
