Keyeon Gustavo Martin

With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Keyeon Martin, affectionately known as “Key,” who tragically passed away on May 19, 2026, at just 18 years old.

Born on July 14, 2007, in , Keyeon brought joy, laughter, and light into the lives of everyone who knew him. He graduated from in 2025, where he was known as a talented track star, a determined student, and a young man full of ambition and heart. At the time of his passing, Key was working as a cart attendant at , continuing to work hard toward the dreams he held for his future.

Key was a well-articulated, intelligent, and affectionate young man who loved learning about finance, entrepreneurship, and life. He embraced challenges and constantly sought opportunities to grow and better himself. He dreamed of traveling the world, becoming his own boss, building a successful future, and one day having a family of his own.

Those who knew Key will forever remember his beautiful smile, his goofy sense of humor, his charm, and the genuine love he gave so freely to family and friends. Despite growing into adulthood, he still cherished spending special “mommy and me” dates with his mother — moments filled with laughter, conversations, and unconditional love that will forever remain treasured memories.

Key leaves behind his loving mother, Cynthia; his sisters, Laelah and Ghizelth; his beloved niece, Ovi; his stepfather, Herman; and his father, Frank, along with countless family members, friends, classmates, coworkers, and community members who loved him deeply.

Though his life was tragically cut short, Key’s impact, spirit, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He had his whole life ahead of him, and while his time here was far too brief, the memories he created will last forever.

A celebration of Keyeon’s life will be held at on June 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
