Laura Lee Corbin

Laura Lee Corbin, née Hyde, a long-time resident of Chula Vista, died on Saturday, July 25 as a result of congestive heart failure. Her children and eldest grandson were able to be with her in the hospital at the time of her death.

Laura/Mom/Grandmum is survived by her three children: Laurie, Christopher (Sheryl), and Matthew. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ian, Andrew, and Ethan, who were the lights of her life; her siblings: Freddy (Carrol Lee), Robin (Chuck), and Marlys (Charlie) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry; her loving parents, Robert and Ruth Hyde; and her treasured canine companion, Silky.

Laura was a proud graduate of Chula Vista High School. In her later years, she enjoyed reconnecting with her classmates and attending reunions and other social events.

Laura was a gifted writer and craft painter. She enjoyed her lunches with her painter friends and always looked forward to their holiday events. She will be missed by all who knew her.
