Magdalena was born to Ramon and Dalila Mendez on January 9, 1928 in San Diego, California. She was one of five children, sister to Pauline, Ruth, Loreto and Moises. She married Stanley J. Byers on October 11, 1958, and they raised their three children, Adrian, Margo and Patty in Bonita, California.
Magdalena is survived by;
Son: Adrian Byers, Daughters: Margo Elizabeth Stone and Patricia Anne Byers.
Grandchildren: Nicole, Dominique, Kyle, Danielle, Morgan and Hannah.
Great Grandchildren: Coby, Kylie, Avery, Ilana, Niyah, Cataleya, Raiden, Scarlett and Chloe.
Siblings: Ruth Ortiz and Loreto Mendez
