Maria del Consuelo Leos, 78, passed away on May 28, 2026, in San Diego, California. “Chela”, as she was affectionately known, was born in Jalisco, Mexico on March 1, 1948, to Emilio and Maria de la Luz Ramirez. She loved spending time with her family, celebrating Christmas every year in her home, and enjoyed being around her sisters and brothers.
Dedicated homemaker, married to Santiago Leos Jr, since 1971. Dear mother of Rafael, Sandra and Jerry. Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren (Mateo†, Viviana, Gustavo, Yessenia, Jerry Jr., Angel, Roman and Ezekiel) and great grandmother of Alexia. Beloved “Tia Chela” to countless nieces and nephews; and “Nana Chela” to many others who grew up loving her. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Friday June 26th at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lemon Grove, CA. Inurnment services will be at 2pm on Saturday June 27th at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, CA.
