

Martha R. Carrillo’s life journey began on March 23, 1955. She was born in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico to parents' Francisco Rubio Vasquez and Isabel Rubio Lopez. She was raised with two brothers; Miguel and Thomas Rubio and five sisters; Micaela Reyes, Reyna Fuentes, Francisca Moody, Micaela Ramirez and Maria Lisandra Rubio. Martha was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Martha experienced that with Luis G. Carrillo and the couple exchanged wedding vows on January 22, 1972. The wedding took place in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Empathic and loyal, Martha was committed to making her new family happy.
Martha was blessed with three children; Isabel, Josefina and Luis Carrillo Jr. Martha worked hard to be a good mother to her children and did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Martha was blessed with the gift 6 grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Martha enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Martha worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Martha worked at for the County of San Diego’s Polinsky Children’s center 12 years.
Martha was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years. A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Martha enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including playing the slot machines, cooking, gardening, family gatherings and mostly playing “Loteria” with her grandkids. She usually shared her interests with others.
Martha R. Carrillo left us on July 25, 2012. She passed away in Chula Vista, California after a battle with Liver Cancer at the age of 57. She is survived by her husband Luis Carrillo and her daughters Isabel Arreola and Josefina Guevarra and her son Luis Carrillo Jr., and her Father Francisco Rubio and her six grandchildren. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel of Thursday, August 3, 2012. Martha was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
So this is Martha’s life, the sum of the woman that she became. Simply stated, Martha was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Martha leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong cherished memories. Everyone whose life Martha R. Carrillo touched will always remember her with a smile.
