Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Purita Dela Torre Gamos was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Purita will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Purita was born on October 3, 1938 to Salvacion Espadilla and Fermin Dela Torre. Purita was raised in Ragay, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Purita has three brothers Eddie, Elvin, Manny and one sister Becky.
A typical teenager, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood, Purita graduated from Ragay High School in the Philippines. She also attended Adamson University.
Purita exchanged wedding vows with Emiliano Prado Gamos. Empathic and loyal Purita was committed to making her new family happy. The union took place on October 25, 1958 at the Malate Church, in Quezon City, Philippines.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately the same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Purita was blessed with 3 children. Son Robert and Michael and a daughter Cecile. Purita did her best to fulfill her children’s needs, raising them in a positive and nurturing environment. Purita was blessed again later in life with two grandsons Evan and Brent.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately Purita
enjoyed what she did for a living. Purita worked for the civil service as a Contracts Manager at the Naval Supply Center. Showing a strong work ethic, she worked diligently and did her best to succeed.
Purita enjoyed her leisure time in gardening, walking and cooking.
Purita passed away June 25, 2016. She is survived by her loving husband Emiliano Gamos, her sons Robert and Michael and her daughter Cecile along with her grandchildren. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.
