

Remigio or “Remy” was born in the Philippines. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school and before reporting to his first duty station, Remy met and married the love of his life, Gloria. They raised 3 beautiful daughters together. Remy retired in San Diego, CA after 20 years of honorable service as a Mess Specialist, where he learned to develop and hone his culinary skills. Wanting to ensure the well-being and comfort of his family, Remy worked another 20 years and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially with his wife, whether they were having fun at Barona or simply drinking their morning coffee while watching the news. Remy was called home to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in His heavenly kingdom on October 11, 2025. Remy is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his great-grandson Mateo. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Gloria; his daughter Liza and her husband Ken; his granddaughters Hailey and Kayla; Kayla’s husband Michael, his great-granddaughter Evie; his daughters Sheryl and Rachel, and
Rachel’s husband Eric, and his grandsons Austin and Aidan. The viewing and funeral will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary at 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA 91902. The viewing will be held on Sunday Nov. 9th, 2025 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church located at 2643 Homedale St., San Diego, CA 92139 on Monday Nov. 10th at 10:00 AM and immediately followed by the burial at Glen Abbey.
