Renato C. Pizarro was born on September 5, 1952 in Orion Bataan, Philippines. Renato was the fourth child of Teodoro and Patrocinia Pizarro and had five siblings: Eddie (deceased), Consuelo (deceased), Ben, Linda, and Willy (deceased). In 1970, Renato graduated Highschool at Jose Rizal Institute and took some college courses at Mapua Institute before enlisting in the US Navy in 1975 as a Machinery Repairman. On May 12, 1979, he married Mercedita S. Dizon and was blessed with two children: Joanne and Vince and four grandchildren: Jay Anthony, Joshua, Jordan and Janelle Aria. Renato was a hard worker and while in the Navy he received many achievements, and had multiple deployments including the Gulf War. After 23 years of hard work and sacrifice, Renato retired from the US Navy in 1998 as Machinery Repairman Chief Petty Officer. In 2000, he continued serving his country with the US Postal Service and retired in 2018 after 18 years. Renato enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, sports and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Sadly, in October 2019, he was diagnosed with Mesothelioma Lung Cancer. Renato underwent treatment and fought for almost three years. On June 30, 2022, Renato passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family at the age of 69. We will miss his joy, laughter, humor and love.
