Richard took me to dinner one night because Linda told me it was important. To them, it was important.....Richard asked me if he could marry my Linda!! I moved to NC in late 2007, but tried to get back to CA at least every 2 years. This past August, I spent 9 days in CA -- I just sat around the house and spent time with Richard and Gert in the garage. We had good times, and I'll not forget that visit. Richard treated my Linda like pure gold--whatever she wanted, he'd move Heaven and earth to get it for her. It will not be the same when I go to visit. Thank you, Richard, I love you. 

He taught me all about how to pick up girls.

In honor of my other older brother, Dickie Thompson, I'm the little brother  of Danny Lloyd . I've known  Dickie since I was 7 years old.  One of my fondest  memories  is of a trip to the desert  with Dickie and a friend  camping and riding motorcycles at night,  but unknown to us we were riding  on the Ocatilla Wells airport .  Then we saw some flashing lights and got stopped by a sheriff deputy....? Yep we all got tickets  and Dicki says don't you think we should get off the airport before we get ran over by a B-52 Bomber. 9 Years ago ,began our Friendship! We had so much fun together! Found so many friends , it  was very hard for us in the beginning to find friends ,here in California !I can't still believe , you are gone ! You was my Buddy in crime ! We bought cars together! I could call you anytime , you helped  me so much ! We had with you and Linda so much fun !Why have you go so early ??

My heart goes out to the Thomson  family.  Dickie, you are a good friend, like a brother, to our family! I know that David has told you how much you mean to him and I am so glad for that part of your friendship. You will be missed beyond measure and we will all do our best to support your family in the time to come.  Love you my friend!! 

Since the moment I met you, I became instant family. You embraced me as you embraced others, with such love and such care. My heart breaks knowing I am never going to hear the sound of your voice or feel your tight bear hugs again. I feel completely blessed and honored to have you as a huge part of my life. Your love for aunt Linda was so pure and gracious, you admired and adored her. I will forever cherish our conversations our laughs and adventures. Thank You for listening and reaffirming me that everything was going to be okay. You saw the good no matter how bad the situation was and for that Mia and I will forever hold you in our hearts. We love you! 

Ridding  in the desert, enjoying and laughing at his stories.  Or life experiances that he had gone through.  He had so much knowledge on cars and hot rods.   Good man will be missed.  

Although we aren't blood related we're family, since I first met you and Linda you always greeted me with smiles, laughs and conversation. I enjoyed the company when you visited here in Yuma and hated to see you guys leave. 
I want to Thank you for your support and your help in keeping me calm thru my first car show you were a big part of making it successful.
Thanks for all the great laughs, talks and car advice and karaoke Fridays at Eagles 398, you will definitely be missed, journey on well my friend, Our love and prayers are with you and your family...

Richard "Dickie" always gave me a big hug anytime I was able to visit. He always treated my sister Linda with such love and admiration. He was an amazing person, father, son, and husband. Dickie you will be greatly missed by everyone you came in contact with!

This morning I woke from a dream of Dick and I riding the Imperial Dunes together all night, I'm worn out. Thanks for the ride.

Dick and I met at about the ages of twelve and were inseparable until I joined the Army. I was accepted into his family by both Dick and his parents.  Thank you Gert and Frank for allowing me to always feel welcome.
I have admired Dick from the beginning of our childhood relationship. I thought he was so smart and talented in so many different ways. Most of all I admired that he valued others, never putting himself above anyone, and generous to a fault. He cherished family and everyone in his heart was accepted at face value.  We remained  bonded throughout life events, marriages and families. We always were there for each other. 
Our memories together have filled my mind and heart for over 60 years. Thank you Dick, you  for will always be there.
