

Robert Lee Flores, mostly known as Bob, was born on March 5, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. He was a loving son to Felix and Eva Flores and a brother to William and James Flores.
Bob grew up and went to high school in Rosemead, California in a household with humble economic means. It was often a struggle in his homelife and the matriarch Eva Flores often used a firm hand to keep the family house on track. Bob carried his mother’s values throughout the rest of his life in the way he raised his sons and cared for others. He often provided for his sons what they needed regardless of the hardships in place at the time.
Bob Joined the military when he was 17 years old. His mother had to sign for him so he could join the US Navy as an enlisted sailor. Bob shared stories of how he used to dream of being in the military, and he lived to make his dream a reality. He was a postal clerk and a career counselor/Naval Recruiter. He accomplished the highest rank as an enlisted sailor as a Master Chief Petty Officer. He accomplished this rank by studying, taking tests and passing them as well as performing well on the job.
When Bob retired after 30 years of service, he was still young and he wanted to work in a different field. He sold cars for a while at Carl Burger Dodge, and then he began a 15 year work career for San Diego Traffic Court.
When Bob was not working, he could be found playing Keno in Las Vegas or traveling to South America.
Bob is survived by his son Craig and his daughter-in-law Silvia. He has three grandchildren- Bernadette, Carlos and Daniel, as well as six great grandchildren: Leilani, Emilio, Sofia, Olivia, Adam, and Amelia.
