

Rosa Elba Loza de Velasco, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 16, 1945, in Tijuana, Baja California, México to Antonio and Elba Loza, and was the eldest of 13 siblings.
Rosa was a woman full of life, warmth, and elegance. She brought joy and style wherever she went, known for her radiant smile, love of dancing, and deep appreciation for music. Her life’s work reflected her strength and versatility—beginning at Bumble Bee Tuna, continuing at Prudential Supplies, then as a devoted daycare provider, and later as the proud owner of her own sunglass business.
She is survived by her husband, her daughters Connie Velasco and Patty Ballesteros, her son-in-law Alex Ballesteros, and her seven cherished grandchildren: Valeria, Alex, Yanelli, Sayra, Yanissa, Dahlila, and Carlitos. Rosa also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Mila, Cosmo, and Isaiah, who brought her tremendous joy and pride.
Rosa’s legacy of love, loyalty, resilience, and grace will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life to honor Rosa will occur on August 23, 2025 from 3 PM to 7 PM in the Chapel of Roses at Glen Abbey Memorial Park located at 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA 91902
