

Saniata M. Ellazar born February 26, 1935 in Balungao, Pangasinan. The First of three children born to Sergio and Luz Mondala. Upon graduation from high school, she eventually moved to Manila to pursue her studies. She enrolled in the University of Santo Tomas and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. After passing the board exam she started working in the city. In 1968, she came to the United States to join her husband, Pastor J. Ellazar who was in the U.S. Navy.
While in the country she had the desire to practice her profession. Being resourceful, she communicated with the board of pharmacy in Sacramento as to how she could take the board examination. She was told to go to pharmacy school to take some subjects. Wasting no time, she enrolled in the University of Pacific, Stockton. After finishing school, she took the board and passed it successfully in 1979. She loves to work and is happy doing it.
Saniata was the heart and soul of the family with a loving generous spirit. She is a loving wife, mother, grandmother and has a very close affinity to her family and relatives. She is survived by Pastor J. Ellazar (husband), Melinda Incalcatera (daughter), Raul J. Ellazar (son), Philip and Yvonne Mondala (brother and sister in law), Rowell and Teresa Ellazar (son and daughter in law), Virgilio and Recy Mondala (brother and sister in law), Venus and Tony Ignacio (sister and brother in law), Danilo Mondala (brother), Replica and Noel Fletcher (sister and brother in law), Marlo and Dorima Mondala (brother and sister in law), Terry Mondala (sister in law), Nicole Incalcatera, Sasha Paulovich, Reese Ellazar (granddaughters).
In 1980, she got a dream to unite the sons and daughters of Urdoneta City who are in San Diego. Exhibiting her leadership, she founded the Urdoneta City Association of San Diego. They made her the President, she ran her term successfully. Today, the association’s membership has grown into hundreds. A milestone was made and that was history.
