Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Sau Thi Truong was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Sau will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Sau’s life journey began on June 10, 1918. She first greeted the world in Vietnam. Her parents' names were Luc Truong and Tuôi Thi Ôn. She was raised in Long An with four siblings, Sanh Truong, Ngoc Truong, Nga Truong and Xoi Truong. Sau was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many special life experiences over the years.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Sau experienced that with Luong Dang and the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1938 in Long An. Empathic and loyal, Sau was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Sau was blessed with six children, Mui Dang, Tu Dang, Bay Dang, Be Chau, Be Dang and Ut Dang. Sau worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment.
Later in life, Sau was blessed with the gift of ten grandchildren, Vu Dang, Van Dang, Minh Huong Dang, Minh Hang Dang, Ngoc Hanh Dang, Tam Dang, Tom Chau, Vinh Dang, Fred Dang, Jacqueline Dang and ten great- grandchildren, Amber Hauw, Emily Hauw, Caitlynn Hauw, Allison Hauw, Matthew Dang, Ethan Dang, Kim Ngoc Nguyen, Kim Ngan Nguyen, Isabella Dang and Layla Dang.
Sau enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including watching her favorite shows on television. She was always willing to share her interests with others.
