

Teodorico was born on January 25, 1936 in Alaminos, Pangasinan. He was the son of Elias Espeleta and Leonora Deleon and had three siblings. He had one brother, Avelino and two sisters, Loreta and Dionisia. Teodorico was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his family and they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Teodorico had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood; he graduated from Alaminos High School. On March 27, 1963 Teodorico exchanged wedding vows with Angelica Dela Cruz at Co-Cathedral of the Three Kings of Lingayen, Pangasinan. Empathic and loyal, Teodorico was committed to making his new family happy.
Teodorico was a United States Navy Veteran, who served 21 years. His primary occupation was as a Chef but he also worked mess management and as lead custodian for the United States Navy. He served his time in the Navy Administrative Unit in Washington D. C. where he served under the Nixon, Ford and Carter Administrations and also in Miramar in California. Through his hard work, he achieved the rank of CPO E7. He received several awards recognizing him for his service, including a fourth Good Conduct in 1974, a MUC in 1969 and 1973, and a Presidential Service Badge in 1972.
Teodorico enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were reading, gardening, walking and watching TV. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Teodorico passed away on February 25, 2012 at San Diego, California. He is survived by his wife Angelica Espeleta, his brother Avelino Espeleta, his sisters Loreta and Dionisia and his nieces and nephews. A funeral mass was held at St. Charles Catholic Church in San Diego, California on March 5, 2012. Teodorico was laid to rest in Glen Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Teodorico was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Teodorico leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Teodorico D. Espeleta.
