

Yolanda R. Martinez was a modest woman, quiet and observant in her ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. She was tough-minded yet kind which earned the respect of all who knew her. She was also a woman who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything she undertook. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
Yolanda was born on May 21, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of Francisco and Yolanda Martinez.
Yolanda was raised with two siblings. She had brothers Fernando and Francisco. Yolanda was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many special life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Yolanda had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Castle Park High School in 1984. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Yolanda worked very hard to be a great mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Yolanda was blessed with three children, two daughters Alyssa and Ilyana and son Carlos. They were her greatest accomplishment of all.
Fortunately, Yolanda enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Yolanda worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was a Regulatory Coordinator. She was employed by Synergy Clinical Research. Yolanda always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Sadly, Yolanda passed away on July 24, 2010 at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in Chula Vista, California due to due to a Sub-Arachnoid Hemorrhage. She is survived by her children Alyssa, Ilyana and Carlos Castellanos. Services were held at The Little Chapel of the Roses. Yolanda was laid to rest in "The Nature Garden" of Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Yolanda was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person who was capable of making everyone around her happy. She was a wonderful daughter to her parents and an excellent parent to her children. Yolanda was a vital part of everyones lives. Yolanda leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Yolanda R. Martinez.
