Maria Teresita Figueroa Gil

Maria was raised in a loving home in Mexico alongside her two sisters and brother. From a young age, she found joy in the beauty of the outdoors, surrounded by nature and plants. She was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and remained a devoted follower of Jesus Christ throughout her life.

Maria was a kind, gentle, and loving woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—reading her Bible, working on crossword puzzles, tending to her garden, and traveling with her family. One of her favorite places to visit was Cabo San Lucas, where she created cherished memories with those she loved most.

Above all, Maria’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and wonderful mother, a caring sister, and a loyal friend. Her love, strength, and gentle spirit will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved son, Jose Luis Vazquez Figueroa; her daughter-in-law, Shirley Bullock-Vazquez; her cherished grandson, Diego Makai Figueroa; and her beloved sister-in-law, Marlen Mansur. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Julieta Figueroa (Arturo Forjas) and Nohemi Figueroa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Margarita Figueroa, and her brother, Daniel Figueroa.

Maria is also lovingly remembered by her nieces, Nadia and Diana, and her nephews, Jonathan, Juan Pablo, Hector Jose, Salim, and Arturo, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Maria’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

PSALM 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:

for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

María fue criada en un hogar lleno de amor en México junto a sus dos hermanas y su hermano. Desde muy joven, encontró alegría en la belleza de la naturaleza, rodeada de plantas y paisajes. Su fe católica fue una parte fundamental de su vida, y permaneció como una devota seguidora de Jesucristo hasta el final.

María fue una mujer amable, dulce y amorosa, cuya calidez tocó a todos los que la conocieron. Disfrutaba de las cosas simples de la vida: leer su Biblia, resolver crucigramas, cuidar su jardín y viajar con su familia. Uno de sus lugares favoritos era Cabo San Lucas, donde creó recuerdos inolvidables con sus seres queridos.

Por encima de todo, la mayor alegría de María fue su familia. Fue una madre dedicada y maravillosa, una hermana cariñosa y una amiga leal. Su amor, fortaleza y espíritu gentil vivirán por siempre en el corazón de quienes la conocieron.

Le sobreviven su querido hijo, Jose Luis Vazquez Figueroa; su nuera, Shirley Bullock-Vazquez; su amado nieto, Diego Makai Figueroa; y su querida cuñada, Marlen Mansur. También le sobreviven sus queridas hermanas, Julieta Figueroa (Arturo Forjas) y Nohemi Figueroa.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Daniel y Margarita Figueroa, y su hermano, Daniel Figueroa.

María también será recordada con amor por sus sobrinas, Nadia y Diana, y sus sobrinos, Jonathan, Juan Pablo, Hector Jose, Salim y Arturo, además de muchos familiares y amigos que la extrañarán profundamente.

El legado de amor, fe y bondad de María vivirá por siempre en los corazones de todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerla.
