Bobby Carl Rogers, 79, passed away April 29, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, TN. He was born January 7, 1940, to Carl David and Sarah Elvira Rogers. He graduated from Dixie High School in 1957, and attended the University of Tennessee. He worked as an X-ray Technologist for 45 years. He was an Elder of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Corinth. His church was so very important to him. He was a good Christian man who treasured his family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2019, at McMillan Funeral Home with Dr. Don Howie officiating, and Joe Young delivering the Eulogy. Burial will be in Rogers Family Cemetery in Union City, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hanners Rogers; two daughters, Donna (Ray Cozort) Metcalfe and Lisa (Andy) Richey; one son, Rob (Lori) Rogers; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Pearson, Megan Metcalfe, Frederic Metcalfe, Carson Rogers and John Cousar; and two special cousins, Joe Rogers and Tim Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Phipps; and one brother, David Rogers.
Pallbearers are Matthew Pearson, Frederic Metcalfe, Carson Rogers, John Cousar, Brian Rowland and Greg Sparks.
Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
