Paul Grady “Buddy” Carnathan, Jr., 72, passed away January 25, 2019, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born October 12, 1946, to Paul Grady, Sr. and Martha Mae Felkins Carnathan. He graduated from Shannon High School, then worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 30 years. He served in the Army National Guard for 23 years. He was a member of Skyline Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening, crappie fishing, deer hunting, and watching old westerns.
A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 28, 2019, at Skyline Church of Christ with Minister Norman Maranto and Chas Goff officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Darnell Carnathan; four sons, Jon Carnathan, Bobby (Carmen) Carnathan, Scott (Karen) Anderson and Russ (Kellie) Howell; three daughters, Leslie (Danny) Robinson, Renee George and Lisa (Nic) Nichols; his mother, Martha Carnathan; three brothers, Tad (Judy) Carnathan, David (Tensie) Carnathan and Mike (Sheila) Carnathan; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Grady Caranthan, Sr. and one brother, Tim Carnathan.
Pallbearers are Tad Carnathan, Mike Carnathan, David Carnathan, Scott Anderson, Russ Howell, Robert Lucas and Rick Ballard.
Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
