Charlene Johnson

Charlene Armstrong Johnson, 97, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born April 25, 1918, to James F. and Donnie Speck Armstrong. She and Harlon Johnson were wed on April 24, 1937. They were blessed with three children, Carl, Bobby and Patricia.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Gerald) Gray; daughter-in-law, Betty Johnson; 10 grandchildren, Diane Johnson, Steven Johnson, Michael (Ada) Johnson, Christopher (Leyla) Johnson, Lorie (Lee) McKinney, Patrick Johnson, Carol (Rusty) Barnes, Jerry (Shellie) Parker, Pamela (Billy) Stroupe, Paula (Chris) Hughes; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Johnson; her parents; two sons, Carl and Bobby; and four sisters and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the charity of choice.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the funeral home.
