Earl “Bun” Spencer, 92, of Booneville, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at his home. He was born August 18, 1919 to Guy and Irene Nichols Spencer. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, the American Legion, and he was a Navy Veteran of WW II. He was retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be 2:00 pm on Monday, September 25, 2011 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Rex Bullock and Jamie Gray officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by three daughters, Martha (Aaron) Mize of Booneville, Edna (Billy) Gray of Baldwyn, and Sue (Kenneth) Farrar of Memphis; one son, Timmy (Christina) Spencer of Booneville; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby Manley Spencer; one son, Terry Spencer; three sisters; and two brothers.
