Ecward Moreland, 82, of Marietta, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born February 6, 1932 to Elza and Pearl Wright Moreland. He was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ, a US Navy Veteran, and a retired contractor for TVA.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, March 3, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Ricky Green officiating. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce Barnes Moreland; two sons, Eddie (Tonya) Moreland and Doug (Katie) Moreland both of New Site; two sisters, Johnnie Faye Smith Sanders and Margaret Willis both of New Site; and five grandchildren, Dustin Moreland, Andrew Moreland, Allie Moreland, Ryan Moreland, and Walker Moreland.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 5-9 pm Sunday and until service time on Monday at McMillan Funeral Home.
