Gary Dale Beard

Gary Dale Beard, 60, of Memphis passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 at home. He was born September 22, 1953 to Clyde and Mary Alice Newborn Beard. He was an industrial roofer and a member of Cordova Church of Christ. He was a hardworking man that lived his life to help others. He never met a stranger and brought so much happiness to everyone that had the pleasure of being in his presence. He loved to fish, hunt, and watch basketball.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 17, 2014 at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Don Green officiating and Greg Beard delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Beard; one daughter, Bridget (David) Mays of Cordova, TN; one son, Robbie (Kim) Beard of Columbia, SC; one step-daughter, Tammy Morgan of Booneville; two sisters, Joyce Duncan and Kay Beard both of Booneville; three brothers, Lloyd and J.T. Beard both of Booneville and Darrell Beard of Oakland, TN; six grandchildren, Nicholas Beard, Bradley Beard, Madelyn Beard, Kaleb Mays, Logan Mays, and Jennifer Morgan; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Becky Tollison Beard; and his parents.

Visitation will be 5-9pm on Thursday and until service time on Friday at McMillan Funeral Home.
