Gerald Denson Scott Sr.

Gerald Denson Scott, 84, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born June 22, 1939, to LeRoy and Erin Scott. He married Linda Floyd on October 14, 1961, and was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church where he taught Boys Sunday School. He owned Scott’s Body Shop, farmed and was a U.S. Postman. Mr. Scott enkoyed farming, watching basketball, spending time with his family and reading the Bible, He lived for his family.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 18, 2024, at McMillan Funeral Home with his grandson, Peyton Houston and Bro. Rickey Kelly officiating. Burial will be on Scott Hill. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Scott; one son, Denson Scott; one daughter, Amy Scott; one brother, Pete Scott (Brenda); two sisters, Donna Deanton (Jimmy) and Jeannie Thompson (Harold); two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Ripple and Dick Bullard; and one nephew, Mike Bullard.
