Gladys S Moore

Gladys Barbara Smith Moore, 89, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born January 29, 1923, to O.W. and Mae Price Smith. She was a member of Gaston Baptist Church and the Pilot Club, Woman’s Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Untied Daughters of the Confederacy, and several bridge clubs.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 17, 2012, at Gaston Baptist Church with Bro. Matt Brown and Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Don) Eubank of Booneville and Barbara (Randy) Morris of Olive Branch; one son, David (Amy) Moore of Booneville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Troy Moore in 1991; her parents; one sister, Ruth Winters; and three brothers, Tack Smith, James Luther Smith and Jerry Smith.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home, and the body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
