

Jack Enoch Arnold, 84, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home. He was born September 8, 1930 to Braudis and Bessie Arnold. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He loved all animals, especially his three dogs at home Jodie, Magee, and Sophia.
Also known as “Mr. Jack” to his students, he taught chemistry, physics and biology for 34 years. He also coached basketball and drove a school bus for many years. He retired from the National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel. He also served on the Board of Booneville Alderman for 8 years. He was an elder for the Booneville Church of Christ for more than 25 years. He also served as treasurer there for many of those years.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Dan Huggins and Minister Jim Estes officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Vernell Arnold of Booneville; two daughters, Angela Arnold of Tupelo and Mitzi Thompson of Booneville; one son, Mike (Gloria) Arnold of Tupelo; four grandchildren, Kevin Thompson, Keenan (Kacy) Thompson, Emmalee (Ped) Hicks, and Grayson Arnold and two great grandchildren, Abby and Preslee Hicks.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Arnold and one son-in-law, Keith Thompson.
Visitation will be 5-8 Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home and will continue until service time on Wednesday.
