

James L. Brown Jr, 77, of Booneville passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at home as a result of a four-wheeler accident. He was born May 8, 1936 to James L. Sr. and Eula Mae Moss Brown. He was a retired Agriculture Teacher, having taught at McClain, Hatley, and Jumpertown High Schools and he attended New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 13, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Whitley and Turner Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in the Forked Oak Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Melody (Eddie) McCraney of Birmingham; one son, James L. (Sarah) Brown III; His mother, Eula Mae Brown of Booneville; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Brown of Greenwood Springs; three brothers, Dwight (Mary Ruth) Brown and Tony (Louise) Brown both of Booneville, and Dennis (Regenia) Brown of Corinth; five grandchildren, Lareina Brown, Connor Brown, Kathryn Brown, Taylee, and D. J.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Brown; his father, James L. Brown Sr; one son, William David Brown; one brother, Robert Lee Brown; and his nephew, Steven Brown.
Visitation will be 5-8pm on Saturday and until service time on Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home.
