James Vester Woodruff, 69, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Landmark Nursing & Rehab in Booneville. He was born March 18, 1941 in Prentiss County to the late Joseph and Emma Edge Woodruff. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, and making others laugh.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 in the stateroom at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Pete McCoy officiating. Burial was in the Woodruff Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn June Edge Woodruff; two daughters, Sherry June Woodruff and Norma Gail (Brian) Beene, both of Booneville; his son, Terry (Daisy) Woodruff of McKenzie, Tennessee; one sister, Della Thomas of Booneville; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jamie Woodruff; two sisters; one brother.
