Jimmy R. Green

Jimmy R. Green, 71, died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Fresenius Medical Care in Corinth. He was born October 26, 1942, to William and Reba Moreland Green. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Tupelo. For most of his career he was involved in auto repair and sales, as cars were his passion. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, going to car shows, and watching drag races in TV.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 27, 2014, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rob Garland and Bro. Harold Adair. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Hester Green; one daughter, Susan (Bobby) Demoruelle of Biloxi; one son, Scott Green of Booneville; one brother, Danny (Gloria) Green of Southaven; a niece, Kimberly (Phil) Woods of Southaven; a nephew, Dr. Kelly (Karie) Green of Nashville; three close cousins, Diane Akers, Linda Hill and Deborah Henderson, known as “Zula’s girls” ; and several other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a favorite aunt, Zula Henderson.

Pallbearers are Jesse Haden, Richard Gahaliz, Chuck Hudson, Jimmy Counce, Kelly Green and Melton Copeland.

Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
