Mildred Downs

Mildred Marie Downs, 75, passed away October 5, 2018, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born December 26, 1942, to Major and Omie Huguley Maness. She retired from Blue Bell/ Red Cap after 40+ years of service. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, and loved her church family and spoiling her boys.

A celebration of life service will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, October 8, 2018, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Cagle and Bro. Marty Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by, her husband Joseph Allen Downs; three sons, Greg Downs, Bryan Downs and Marty (Vickie) Downs; one sister, Margie Woolum; one brother, James Maness; three grandchildren, Alyce (Mark) Jennings, Mary (Michael) Dooley and Julie (Dave Dillon) Stieber; five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Carla (Ken) Woolum; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Almos and Dimple Downs; one brother, Jasper Maness; one brother-in-law, Earl Woolum; one sister-in-law, Sandy Maness; one niece, Jackie Moorman; and one nephew, Mitchell Hatfield.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
