Peggy Chase

Peggy Joan Chase, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born October 27, 1934, to Humbert and Eula Mae Stockton Rhoads. She was a member of Little Brown Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at a variety of occupations including at one time being a columnist for the Banner- Independent. She enjoyed painting, gardening, playing the piano and traveling.

A family graveside service will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Siloam Cemetery with Bro. William Connolly officiating. Services are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, David Chase; two daughters, Jody Chase and her husband, Peirce Hammond, and Kimberly Chase Jackson and her husband, Ron; one son, Michael Chase and his wife, Cathy; two sisters, Rita Doctor and Pat Shannon; three grandchildren, David Neil Chase and his wife, Catherine, Jeffrey Chase and Savannah Horgan; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver Chase and Ivy Chase.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Clydean Garvin; and one brother, Charles Rhoads.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
