Robert Austin Lowery

Robert Lowery, 82, of Burton died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at home. He was born January 7, 1930 to William Austin Lowrey and Mary South Lowrey. He was member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church, and a Mason. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an Insurance Adjuster with the Cotton Belt Insurance Company.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 14, 2012 New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Whitley and Bro. Ricky Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville.

He is survived by his wife, Ernestine Lowery; one daughter, Robbie Lowery of Memphis; a step-son, Glenn Cunningham of Burton; three sisters, Justine Higgins of Memphis, Marie Davis of Kankikee, IL, and Faye Green of Clinton, MS, ; three Grandchildren, Holly and Haley Cunningham and Kristen Ledbetter.

He is preceded in death by his First Wife Elaine Lambert Lowery; his parents; two sisters, Peggy Brewer and Ivy Holder; and four brothers, Roy, Troy, Hoyet, and Edwin Lowrey.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday and from 10-11am Saturday at the church.
