Ruby Christine Moore

Ruby Christine “Mama Ruby” Moore, 90, of New Site died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville. She was born January 21, 1923 to Burlin and Lora Floyd Taylor. She was a housewife and member of East Prentiss Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of Weight Watchers and she managed the Booneville meetings for many years.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at East Prentiss Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Bishop officiating and Phyllis Barnes delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Yvonne (Paul Ray) Mayo of New Site; seven grandchildren, Danny (Cammie) Mayo, Dennis (Lori) Mayo, Amy (Harvey) Shook, Terry (Phyllis) Barnes, Garry (Cindy) Barnes, Angie (Brad) Wilemon, and Lori Carpenter; fifteen great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Moore; her parents; two daughters, Martha Barnes and Sandra Harris; one brother, Prentiss Taylor; three grandchildren, Ricky Mayo, Leigh Anne Harris, and Angela R. Harris; and one great grandson, Hunter Mayo.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Mayo, Preston Mayo, Danny Mayo, Scotty Mayo, Cadan Mayo, Tyler Shook, Dylan Shook, Terry Barnes, Garry Barnes, and Jeremy Barnes.

Visitation will be 5-9pm Monday at the funeral home and 10 until service time on Tuesday at the church.
