

Thomas Hugh “Tommy” Davis, 56, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born September 6, 1955, to Ellis and Doris Davis. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of duty, where he served with the 101st Air Borne. He was a Deputy with the Prentiss County Sheriff Department for 11 years. He was a member of the Southern Cruisers. He loved his dog, Priscilla. He took pride in serving his country and his community.
Funeral will be at1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Ronnie Livingston, Bro. Greg Johnson and Bro. Ricky Peebles officiating. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Williams Davis; one daughter, Anna Nichole Davis of the home; one son, Braxton Barnes of Booneville; his mother; one brother, Ernest (Jody) Davis of Booneville; his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. (Clytee) Bridges; two sisters-in-law, Kathy (Alan) Tollison and Sherry Bridges; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Joyce Hatfield.
Pallbearers are Randy Tolar, Derrick Pruitt, Grady Smith, David Berrios, Ray Ragan, Derrick Hester, Homer Stevens and Keith Lovell.
Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the Prentiss County Sheriff Department.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
