Berneice Lavonne Hessing

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at William Wood Funeral Home, Boonville, MO. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Dale officiating.

Berneice was born on December 3, 1938 in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Everett Willis and Doris Irene (Garrett) Johnson who preceded her in death. She retired as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed gardening, feeding raccoons, birds and other animals and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include: her significant other, Delfin “Tito” Perez of Boonville, MO; four children, Teresa Spears (Donald) of Tucson, AZ, Roxanne Decena of Boonville, MO, Regina Hessing of Springfield, MO and Andrew Hessing of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Ronnie Johnson (Bonnie) of Hannibal, MO and George Johnson of Hannibal, MO; 11 grandchildren, Cody Koless, Ethan Hessing, Jacob Hessing, Randy Hessing, Zachary Hessing, Chelsea Crockett, Janel Essman, Brian Spears, Nathan Spears, Adam Spears and Chris DeCena; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by four children, Kent Hessing, Tracey Hessing, Jeffrey Hessing, and George Hessing, one grandson,Zino, one granddaughter, Rosie, four brothers and three sisters.
