She was born in Taishan, China to Frank and Fay Jee on October 2, 1928. After Immigrating to Boston, Choi and her husband of 53 years, Kai Chu Lee, built Central Laundry into a 40 plus year institution in the Boston suburb of Milton. There they raised their 5 surviving children: Richard of Brockton, John of Randolph, Raymond of Quincy, Donna of Canton and Thomas of Millburn, NJ. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Choi was a bright and spirited soul who beamed when welcoming family and friends into her home. The glow of her face and the twinkle in her eye showed you how much she appreciated your time with her. She was a wonderful cook, creating delicious meals for her family. Regaling stories from her youth and young adult life in China, she inspired her family and friends alike. Over the years, Choi became an incredible fan of the Boston Celtics and watched them through her final moments.
