He was the beloved husband of Mary (D’Ippolito) Ania of the North End.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Andrea and Rosa (Pedone) Ania. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two nieces, Daria Bartolucci of Boston and Mary Sturzo of Tewksbury; as well as three sisters, Anna, Cecilia, and Josephine all of Italy. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Franco, Michele, and Giuseppe of Italy.
His funeral mass will be held at 10:45am on Friday, Sept. 19th at St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover St (corner of Prince and Hanover), Boston. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the church beginning at 10 am for visitation. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
In lieu of flowers, please have donations in his memory made to St. Leonard’s Church.
