Johnnie Jones of Boston, MA was called home on December 29, 2012. Loving son of John and Eloise Jones, the eldest of seven children, born January 11, 1952. Johnnie was carefree, fun loving and very protective of his family.
Educated at the Boston Trade High School, he learned hands on training as an electrical technician from 1968-1970. Thereafter he went on to become a skilled laborer which included working as a stage manager at The Elma Lewis School of Performing Arts, Playhouse in the Park and a contracted lighting coordinator for U-Mass Boston’s Theater Department. He had impeccable timing for employment in 1974 he was hired as security personnel at South Boston High School.
He loved to cook and eat, whenever he could he’d volunteered at Roscommon’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Home to help out in the kitchen, and Pine Street Inn to assist in feeding the homeless. A dapper dresser, when the occasion called for it putting together a wardrobe no one could match. He was very respectful and kind hearted to his younger brothers and sisters. When you needed him he was there, especially for his parents John and Eloise.
