

Mariola (Langos) Dupré, age 94 of Boston died on June 29, 2014 after a very long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was the loving mother of Lynda Dupré Brooks of Boston and the late Aynsley “Lee” Dupré, Boston Police Department, and his surviving wife Barbara Dupré of Walpole. Mariola was also the devoted grandmother of Sam Brooks of Framingham as well as Derek and Danielle Dupré of Walpole and was the daughter of the late Anita (Olivier) and Xenophon Langos. Mariola traveled to many corners of the world including Europe, the Mid East, South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands and lived in France, St. Pierre and Miquelon, New Caledonia the home of her former husband Jacques
Dupré and Greece. While in Egypt she developed a love of Egyptology, ancient Egyptian History and the study of hieroglyphics which became her life long
passion. She was also an avid speed skater in her youth and a member of the Olympic Skating Club and won many medals in that sport. In her later years she became a collector of various antiques. She was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother and friend with a very friendly and outgoing personality. She will be missed by many, especially her family. Visiting hours in the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St., Boston on Thursday from 9-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia's Church, 18 Belvidere St., Boston’s Back Bay at 11am. Burial will be private.
