Patricia Josephine Lange

Patricia Josephine Reid Lange, 92, of Gardena, California, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026. Patricia was born to Roland Howard Reid and Catherine Butler Reid in Boston in 1934. She was proud of her Irish roots in County Galway, Ireland. Patricia attended Girls’ High School and loved growing up in the Back Bay of Boston. Patricia was introduced to her beloved husband Allan while working in Washington, D.C. where they worked different shifts but shared a desk in the same office. Married on March 1, 1958, Patricia and Allan first lived together in Waverly, Iowa while Patricia worked at the Schield-Bantam Company and Allan completed a degree in physics at Warburg College. They moved to Wakefield, Massachusetts in 1960 when Allan took a position at Transitron Electronics and then moved to Los Angeles County in 1963 when he started a new position at General Dynamics. Living in Los Angeles for more than sixty years, Patricia worked as a media technician at El Camino College in Torrance, California from 1980-1997. In retirement, Patricia enjoyed art making, gardening, and the natural beauty and warmth of sunny California, as well as precious time with her close family, friends, and neighbors. Patricia is survived by her Irish first cousins: Helen Benson, Geraldine Butler, Margaret Smith, and Kitty Cronin; her second cousins Joanne, James, Michael, and Matthew Bellofatto; two nieces, Carolyn Micheels and Betsy Beatty and friend Don; five nephews, Darrell Rahn, Orlin Lange and his wife JoAnn, Wayne Zuege and his wife Kathleen, Russell Zuege and his wife Sue, and Todd Harder and his wife Heidi.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 in Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave., Boston, MA 02130. PLEASE MEET AT CEMETERY GATE TO DRIVE TO GRAVE IN PROCESSION.
