Salvatore "Chickie" Trovato

Salvatore “Chickie” Trovato, 76, of Boston passed away on August 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Marie (Catanzaro) Trovato for 57 years. Loving father of George V. Trovato and his wife Laura of Winter Haven, FL., Joy Bonavita and her husband Joseph of Georgetown, MA and the late Joseph C. Trovato. Beloved grandfather of Ava Marie and Joseph Salvatore Bonavita. Brother of Marguerite Capozzi and the late Rosario “Roy” Trovato. He is also survived by his loving brother-in-law Joseph Catanzaro and his wife Carol as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Salvatore was a member of Local 22 for over 50 years he was also active within the North End community and recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award as a member of the Madonna del Soccorso Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29 at 9:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, North Square, Boston. Please join the procession to church at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 8 AM. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4-8 PM in the Boston Harborside – Langone Funeral Home, 580 Commercial Street, Boston on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
