

He was born Allen Peter Windle on February 3, 1942 in Acushnet, the son of Allen L. and Lila L. (Haram) Windle. He grew up in Falmouth and graduated from Lawrence High School in Falmouth in 1959. Allen married Irene Medeiros in 1963 in Falmouth. They had one daughter Karen. He worked as a carpenter. He served his country in the United States Army.
Allen enjoyed watching football and baseball, playing the guitar and boat watching with his girlfriend Lois. His prize procession was his 1963 Corvette.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Eloise “Lois” Bowles, his daughter Karen Windle of Falmouth, sisters Constance Windle of Falmouth, and Laila Johnson of Tennessee. Also surviving are his brother Irvin Windle of Attleboro, step-brothers, Allen and James Windle and step-sister, Nancy Windle of Taunton. He is survived by one granddaughter Tamica DeGrace.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 13, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home Bourne. Burial will be, with military honors, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
