Born in Brockton on December 15, 1926, Avis was the daughter of the late Hartwell and Ethel (Skillings) Caswell. Avis married Henry Girard in 1965. He predeceased her in 2005.
She is survived by her step children, Barry Girard and wife Barbara of NC, Paul Girard and wife Donna of Buzzards Bay, Barbara Armerol and husband Bob of Swansea, Cheryl Norerga of OR, and Lou Girard and wife Bobbi of FL.
Mrs. Girard’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11AM in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. A period of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service. Burial to follow in Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends invited.
