Bruce Arden Selig

Bruce Arden Selig, 83, of Buzzards Bay, MA, passed away on December 30, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wareham, MA, to the late Russell J. Selig and Lois Selig (Ashley) on October 2, 1942.

Bruce grew up in Buzzards Bay and graduated from Bourne high school. After high school, he joined the United States Navy. He was a hard-working land surveyor for many years, and also worked at Bourne Scenic Park. Bruce was known for being generous, honest, and kind-hearted. He enjoyed many things in life, but his Indian motorcycle brought him great joy.

He belonged to many different clubs, including the Eagles Club of Buzzards Bay, the Elks in Wareham, the Sagamore Rifle Club, and the Otis Model Airplane Club.

Bruce is survived by his nephews: Derek Selig and wife Becky of Plymouth, and Kurt Selig and wife Melissa of Plymouth. He is also survived by his great-nephews and nieces: Paul, Lila, Nathan, Carter, and Kaitlyn Selig, all of Plymouth, as well as many friends. He was preceded in passing by his brother, Louis J. Selig, in 2019.

A service will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at 10 a.m. at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. A burial with military honors will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. All are welcome.
