Cathy Renee Clarke

Cathy Renee Clarke of S. Yarmouth, formerly of Bourne & Sandwich, passed away with her family by her side on November 27, 2011 at the age of 56. She was the cherished daughter of Henry A. Champagne of Melbourne, Florida and Elizabeth A. (Markee) Champagne of Hyannis, MA. Cathy was born in Maine and lived on the Cape until she moved to Ontario, Canada in 1991 after meeting her husband Frank. Cathy excelled in many career choices over the years, Real Estate for Century 21, Cape Sails, Tax preparer for H&R Block & working for the Town Hall in Bourne & Coca Cola Bottling Co. She was always one to help someone in need and she dedicated the past 20 years to caring for others as a nurse and administrator for private nursing homes in Canada. Cathy was a staunch Advocate for her son Peter who has a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome. She loved her family and friends deeply, had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and especially the Cape Cod beaches. The people she touched throughout her life will always have fond memories of her.

Beside her parents, Cathy is survived by her devoted husband, Frank H. Clarke; two adult children whom she loved with all her heart, Jessica L. Tilton and Peter Christopher Tilton, Jr.; the father of her children and friend Peter Tilton, Sr.; her brother, John B. Champagne and his wife Heidi; and her sister, Lisa A. Champagne–Sweet and her husband Michael. In addition, she also leaves her father-in-law, Andrew Clarke, Sr.; brothers-in-law Andrew Clarke Jr. and Thomas Clarke; and two grandchildren, Siena C. Sadeck and Annah A. Kynock;

Visiting hours will be at The Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne on Wednesday, December 7 from 4 to 6 pm followed by a memorial service.
