David Michael Goldrick born October 29th, 1947 passed away Monday June 26th, 2023 at the age of 75. David was born to Mary (Connors) Goldrick and James Goldrick II in Taunton Massachusetts. He was the third of nine children.
At the young age of twenty David answered the call to serve his country. As infantry in the US Army SGT Goldrick was awarded and recognized for his duties. He was honored with the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman badge, and Expert Rifle badges.
David spent the years following his service at the Taunton ice plant. Through many jobs and cities to follow David excelled at interior painting and eventually rooted as a resident of Chatham Ma.
The Cape life and salty air is where David found solace. With a tan tattooed arm hanging out of a jeep with no doors, fishing poles in the back, and a big dog in the front passenger side a new hobby of clamming kept him busy and content.
David enjoyed spending time with his family playing guitar and listening to music. You could catch him goofing around with his siblings, golfing at Chatham Seaside Links, playing card games, and occasionally scratching away at lottery tickets. Although he loved living on the Cape he would vacation with close friends and his companion.
David is survived by his siblings Maggy Perry, Jim Goldrick, Joe Goldrick, Jane McMann and Ellen McCrady all of Taunton Ma and Clare Goldrick of Somerset, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Richard Goldrick and his younger sister Joan Goldrick Elmes. He also leaves behind close lifetime friend and companion Corinne Wagner. David is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
