

David V. Schultz of Monument Beach, avid sportsman and fisherman, died peacefully Sunday, July 3, 2011 after a long illness. David was a 1961 graduate of Bourne High School, and retired as Senior MSGT for the 102nd FIW at Otis ANGB. He was also a special police officer for the town of Mashpee for over 20 years. He is survived by his mother Rachele Schultz of Maryland; four brothers and two sisters; five children, David V. Schultz Jr. of Bourne, Stephen Michael Schultz and his wife Alice of Titusville FL, Ann-Marie Chretien and husband Pat of Middleboro, Adrienne Barton of Pocasset and Stephanie Schultz of Monument Beach, and his former wife Danielle Schultz of Pocasset; and seven grandchildren Jason Barton, Kaitlyn Chretien, Stephen Schultz Jr., Jonathan Schultz, Heidi Chretien, and Emma and Tyler Vickery.
Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
