Mimi, as her 6 grandkids called her, was laughter in a room, the calm in any storm, and happiest in the sun on Sagamore Beach with her big, loud family & friends gathered close. She was wonderfully laid back, quick witted & kind, and had a laugh that could light up any room. If you were lucky enough to know Meems, you were lucky enough.

A devoted wife of 50 years to John Loftus, she built a life rooted in love, loyalty, and showing up for her people. She was a proud and loving mom to Eric (Kathryn Giardi; Will & Zoe), Kristie (Travis Knupp; Cole & Wyatt), Greg (Chuckie the dog), and Julie (Jim McCarron; Desi & Louise).

As a dedicated nurse, she cared for others with the same warmth, steadiness, and compassion she gave her family and many dear friends. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, beach days, and a family that reflects the love she poured into it.
