Donald Edwin Kinnear

Born in Braintree, MA, he was the son of the late Arbuthnott Scott and Alfhild (Swanbom) Kinnear, he resided most of his life in Belmont and then retiring to Pocasset.

He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Mr. Kinnear had worked as a mechanical engineer for Poloroid in Cambridge, MA for 33 years, retiring in 1995.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Robin Dawn Kinnear Mastrorilli and her husband Francis of Squantum, MA; a son, Glenn Bryant Kinnear and his dear friend, Kay Deck; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Rae Mastrorilli and Ashley Marie Ruka and her husband Brian; 2 great-grandchildren, Brody Francis Ruka and Avery Ellen Ruka and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alvin Scott Kinnear, Edith Hulda Craft and Gordon Earl Kinnear.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the John Wesley United Methodist Church 270 Gifford St. Falmouth, MA 02540. Visitation will be held prior to service 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his memory may be made to Mary McCarthy Hospice House 73 Service Road East Sandwich, MA 02537.
