Eileen M. Flood

She graduated from St. Charles High School in Waltham, MA and the Boston School, Boston, MA. Born and raised in Waltham, she lived in Cheverly, MD and Lexington, MA and retired with her husband to Buzzards Bay in 1983.

Early in her life she worked as a medical secretary and was a longtime volunteer for the FISH program in Lexington. She was an avid reader who enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She had a wonderful laugh and a great sense of humor.

She was the daughter of the late Philip J. and Katherine E. (Roach) McNaney of Waltham. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy J. Flood of Bridgewater, and several cousins.

Visiting hours will be at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. (Rt. 28), Bourne, MA on Monday from 4-7 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay, on Tuesday at 10 am. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
